Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Finance Manager at Trent Refractories Ltd in Scunthorpe. The postholder will be responsible for production of Monthly management information (inc journals), bank payments, debtor/creditor control, and statutory returns.
- Produce monthly management accounts, prepayments, accruals, preparing and managing the year end process with the accountants
- Fixed Asset register and depreciation
- Reporting on spend budget vs Actual, cash flow management
- Calculating the monthly stock value for Management Information
- Dealing with new starters, contracts signed and files for staff
- Control of contracts/leases such as IT, Photocopiers, Phones, and collating quotes in order for best value to be achieved for the business.
- Bank reconciliations
- Foreign Exchange (USD/EUR)
- Petty Cash
- Software backups for Sage whilst required
- Fire Warden
- Day to day oversight of the office team and its functions – including organising and arranging of cover for holidays
- Statutory returns & legal compliance for HMRC/ONS Statistics
- Credit control and payments
- Contributing to creation of KPI’s
- Managing accounts@email
- Meeting and Greeting our Visitors
- Dealing with Collections and deliveries
- Answering the telephone and providing reception service
- Actioning of correspondence
- Refreshments
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Experience in Administrative Assistance and Office Administration
- Accountancy skills (NVQ4 or higher)
- Knowledge of Office Equipment management
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Preferable skills- Sharepoint, MS Business Central, Sage Accounts
- Job Type: Part-time
- Pay: £21.97-£25.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 14 per week
