Trent Refractories has a long and notable history in supplying precast refractory shapes specifically with EAF Roof Deltas, so much so that we supply the entire UK market. We work with you to ensure the design of what we make fits your needs. We can cast a block with material to perform in a specific process, a bespoke shape or working with pre-designed products that simply need lining. We can help with all your needs and can cast and dry products up to 25t.

Electric Arc Furnace Roofs & Deltas - Back in the early 1990s Trent pioneered the use of a chrome based material in the refractory industry for making precast EAF Roofs and Deltas.

Tundish Linings - We offer the facility to cast the permanent linings of tundishes to suit all needs, our products have been proven to be very effective and expansion resistant in use.

Tundish Lids - We can design and fit a lid to tundishes to enclose the bath of molten steel and reduce energy losses, these can be done in an array of configurations to suit your needs.

Ladle Linings for Foundries - A fantastic service for foundries, you can simply send us your Ladles and we will cast a working lining into it for you, we offer a full service of collection, wrecking, casting, drying and delivery back to your site.

EAF Launders - We can create a Launder to your design enabling efficient targeted tapping from your furnace with excellent wear capabilities.

Economiser Rings - We supply eceonomiser ring cooling systems for electric arc electrodes. They allow gas or water to be blown through in order to keep the electrodes cool during the melting process.

Dams & Weirs - Dams and Weirs can be cast as part of the tundish furniture arrangement, they cleverly control the flow of molten metal to reduce splashing and impurities in the metal.

Striker Pads - Striker pads take the initial shock of the pouring metal away to prevent wear on other components in the process and to control the direction of the flow. A small cost effective block to resolve a potentially costly issue.

Wellblocks - Tundish Wellblocks house nozzles and can be made to any design.

Pre Heater Lids - Trent has a long and proven history in high performing Ladle Preheater Lids. They are a very large piece of precast which can be awkward to transport. Trent has special frames to be able to transport these items safely and securely.

VOD/VAD Lids - Vacuum Oxygen Decarburisation and Vacuum Arc Degasser lids form part of our large precast expertise, these are some of the largest items we cast and perform like our EAF Deltas.
