19 November 2025 - Trent Refractories Attend The IRE UK Conference 2025

Trent Refractories team members have been in attendance at the annual IRE UK Conference 2025 edition in Sheffield. CEO Katy Moss and Sales Manager Rebecca Kennedy have represented Trent Refractories in attendance along with many other delegates. The event is a showcase for the very best knowledge from the refractories industry sector with attendees and presenters from around the world.

The IRE UK Conference theme is titled : “Black is the New Green – The Refractory Industry in a Changing World”. The 2025 conference will run on Wednesday 19 November, bringing together specialists from across the refractory and steel industries. The programme features presentations on energy efficiency, green steel transition, hydrogen fuel research and advanced refractory design. Confirmed speakers include Devdutt Shukla, Richie Hart, David Bell, David Hollott and contributors from the AMRC, with additional speakers confirmed. The Institute of Refractories Engineers is a not-for-profit trade association that helps our members to access the science, technology and skills they need to excel in the refractory industry.

The Institute of Refractories Engineers aims include:
